Nurse
Our nurses play a vital role in ensuring a high standard of care for our patients. You will become part of a large team of Scrub Nurses, Recovery Nurses and Ward Nurses and work in close collaboration with other Theatre colleagues.
Experienced Nurses will find a place of inspiration that will allow them to be at the forefront of change and Newly Qualified Nurses will be able to consolidate their learning in a supportive environment. It is an exciting time to join the team!
Health Care Support Worker
Our Health Care Support Workers are the link between patients and nurses. They provide both clinical and emotional support to patients. Our team is a friendly one, and you would be surrounded by supportive colleagues.
We are also committed to investing in you here at BTHFT and have created pathways that enable you to step into a healthcare career, becoming a HCSW is a great first step in your journey.
Operating Department Practitioner
As an ODP you are a key member of the team. You will be involved in every phase of a patient’s preoperative care, from anaesthesia through to recovery. You will prepare patients and specialist equipment for any procedure.
You will also be the link between the surgical team and other parts of theatre and hospital. We simply can’t do it without you!
Have you heard about our BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice Apprenticeship?
This course will enable you to qualify and register with the HCPC and work alongside surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and other healthcare colleagues. You will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high quality of care and we will support you to do so.
